Majority Indigenous ownership delivering clean energy, economic and community benefits.

The CIB is proud to support the Rose Valley wind energy project in Saskatchewan with a $164.4 million loan.

The project includes 28 wind turbines (210 MW) and will provide renewable electricity through a power purchase agreement with SaskPower, while allowing for majority Indigenous ownership through M-Squared Renewables.

In addition to long-term community revenues, the project is expected to create contracting, capacity building and employment opportunities for the ten participating First Nations during construction.

This project will provide clean, renewable power while providing long-term economic benefits for the nine nations of MLTC.
